Q: Where do these motorhome tyre pressures come from?

From published manufacturer tables, not guesses. GREEN means a full maker load and pressure curve. AMBER means only the published max load at max cold pressure. If your size, brand or load index is not listed, the tool refuses a number.

Q: Which brands do you have tables for?

GREEN full curves: Continental / General (listed LT, C and camping CP) and Michelin Agilis CrossClimate C and LT. AMBER max-only: General Grabber LT and BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT from the maker spec sheets listed under Sources. We do not have Michelin’s Camping CP table. If your size or brand is not listed, this page refuses a number.

Q: Motorhome tyre pressure — cold or hot?

Use the cold figures. Cold means the van has been parked for a few hours, not just off a motorway. Do not let air out of a hot tyre to match this page.

Q: What does CP mean on a motorhome tyre?

CP means camping / motorhome tyre — not the same as a plain van C tyre. On a Continental / General CP rear axle with two tyres we never show less than 5.5 bar, even if the table step is lower. Michelin Camping CP is refused until we have Michelin’s official table.

Q: Is this a substitute for a tyre fitter?

No. It is a planning estimate. The tyre maker’s chart, the vehicle plate and a fitter always win. If the size is outside the tables on this page, it will not invent a number.

Should I use this page for a same-size C or CP renewal?

No. If you are putting the same C or CP size back on, use the vehicle door sticker or handbook. This page is for LT tyres or a different wheel and tyre set to the originals.

Why don’t you use a US lb/PSI chart or a generic van-tyre formula?

Those do not match the published tables for the tyre you fitted. This page reads the manufacturer table for that size and load index. It will not invent a pressure from a US chart or a one-size-fits-all formula.

Why isn’t my door-sticker pressure right for new tyres?

The sticker inside the driver’s door matches the original factory size. Same-size C or CP renewals should stay on that sticker or the handbook. A different size or an LT set needs a figure from that tyre’s published table — and only if we have one. Tyre capacity still does not let you exceed the van’s axle, wheel or legal limits.

What if the tyre cannot carry the axle weight?

This page shows a fail and will not suggest a pressure if the axle weight is over the last published step. Fit a higher-capacity tyre, or lose weight.

What does CP mean on a motorhome tyre?

CP is a camping / motorhome tyre — not a plain C van tyre. On a Continental / General CP rear axle with two tyres we never show less than 5.5 bar, even if the table step is lower. Front stays on the table. Michelin Camping CP is refused until we have Michelin’s official table.

What does the load index 120/117 mean?

Those numbers on the sidewall are load indexes. The first figure is for two tyres on the axle. The second is only for dual wheels (four tyres). We will not silently use a different number.

Is this a substitute for a tyre fitter?
